WDBC's leadership structure consists of Pastors, Staff and a Diaconate. Included in this structure are Ministry Team Leaders. Several times a year this leadership group gathers for vision casting, coordination, prayer and encouragement.

Role: Jonathan's role is to lead the church as senior pastor. He is responsible for the preaching and teaching that occurs in the church and for empowering and equipping the church so that God's purposes and plans can be fulfilled through the whole congregation. He is accountable to the diaconate and seeks to create a culture where everyone can Thrive! in Christ.
Profile: Jonathan Stark is an ordained minister with a degree from the Bible College of Victoria, a diploma from Whitley College, and has more than ten years in pastoral experience. Jonathan's first pastoral appointment was with the Boronia Baptist Church (VIC) where he served as part of a team in a church he had grown up in. He then served at Dandenong Baptist (VIC) before accepting his current position.
Jonathan commenced ministry in Wodonga in 2004 and has in this time lead the church through significant change with pastoral and staff additions, building extensions, and positioning the church for the incredible future God planned for us. Jonathan is passionate about the local church. He loves people and has a desire to see those who don't know Jesus come to know him and grow strong in their faith.
Jonathan is married to Mandy and they have two daughters Alexandra and Georgia.

Role: Gayle's role is to co-ordinate the pastoral needs of the church, as well as teaching and development of programs to enhance personal transformation.
Profile: Gayle Hill has a Masters Degree in Counselling, a diploma of welfare, a graduate diploma in Vocational Education and Training and is an accredited member of N.A.L.A.G (registered Grief and Loss Counsellor/Educator), PACFA and CCAA. She has been on staff at Wodonga District Baptist Church for 7 years and was called as an Associate Pastor in Pastoral Care and Counselling four years ago.
Gayle has worked previously in community development programs for the Brotherhood of St Lawrence, in community development for the AWDC and as an educator/counsellor in Palliative Care. Gayle is passionate about the role the local church has in healing and transformation of people and communities.
Gayle is married to Warren and they have two children, Jordan and Courtney.

Diaconate
The Diaconate (Deacon means "one who serves") in co-operation with the Senior Pastor, exercises a ministry of spiritual oversight of the church, of temporal care of the church members, and of management of the church's finance & property. Each Deacon is elected by the church membership for a two year term of service.
