WDBC Kids Church believes that children’s ministry should be a lot more than child minding. We love to provide age appropriate programs filled with fun and engaging activities all aimed at providing a place where kids feel safe, accepted, loved, and most of all can explore a relationship with Jesus. Our extremely dedicated team of leaders work to build lasting relationships with kids, as it is often these relationships that endure through the many phases and transitions our kids pass through, and can have a lasting impact on faith development

The wonderful Big Kids team love to build connections through having fun with our primary aged kids.
We aim to deliver fun and engaging content to build a sense of understanding of the greatness of God, and what He has done for us. We hang out in a large group for worship, games and stories, then in small groups for more learning, fun and a sense of community.
6/7 Connect meets every Sunday morning during the 10am service, throughout the school term. We also get together to hang out and have fun regularly outside of church.
We take transitions seriously at WDBC, and we know the transition from primary to high school is already a big jump to make, let alone the jump from Kids Church to Youth Ministry. So we like to make the transition as smooth and fun as possible through our 6/7 connect group. We hang out first in “big church”, either sitting together, or with our families to join in with worship. Then after worship, we head out to our ‘Sr’s only’ space with our awesome leaders to hang out, learn about Jesus, faith, and grow together as a group.
We take the safety of kids in our church very seriously. We screen all our leaders, and make sure they have the appropriate government checks (Working with Children Check, Police Check, Ministry Screening etc.) before working with our kids, in accordance with the Baptist Union of Victoria guidelines and Australian law.
We also work to provide ongoing training in child safety and working with kids.
We aim to provide a safe and secure environment for our kids programs through our sign in/out procedure.
