About Our Church
Connect with usThank you for stopping by and taking the time to read about our church.
Our church meets across two locations with congregations in both Albury and Wodonga. We are truly a cross-border church!
Our shared vision is to be a church where God is glorified as he grows his kingdom. We seek to glorify God through our life together as congregations as well as in our personal walk. Our commitment to see his kingdom grown is expressed in our participation in local, national and international mission.
Our church community is one of diverse age groups and nationalities and we seek to shape ministries to cater for this breadth of needs, but also to provide ways to express our love for and call to serve our wider community.
We are deeply committed to the faithful teaching of the Scriptures, believing that God’s Word brings freedom and life. That is why our worship services and small group activities are centred on the Bible. The teaching that is given on Sunday mornings is designed to help people understand the Bible in its original context with meaningful application to our lives today.
We have four Sunday services across each Sunday.
Our Albury morning congregation meets at 9:15AM every Sunday morning while our Wodonga morning congregation meets at 10:30AM. Both congregations are generally served by the same preacher and although there are minor differences in the style of worship between the congregations, the content of teaching is the same.
At 2:00PM we have a service held in Wodonga conducted in Swahili serving a Congolese congregation.
At 5:30PM we have a congregation which meets in Wodonga which caters largely for youth and young adults in its flavour, maintaining our commitment to gospel-centred worship and faithful biblical teaching. We hope that these times inspire people to love Jesus more and live for Him daily.
Our programs are about building a unique experience of Christian Community. The intention behind everything we do is to help people on the journey of becoming more like Jesus. Our hope is that they are groups where we hope you experience genuine Christian community.
As you navigate through this website, I hope you find something to suit your age group, your interests and your needs.
Feel free to talk to myself or any of the staff about how you can be involved at WDBC.
